Cancellation Policy

Payment, refund and cancellation policies

Below you will find our current payment and refund / cancellation policy. Please read it carefully as this is our official policy at the present time. The policy listed below supersedes any other written document you may have received prior to today’s date. If you have any questions or comments about this policy, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Current Payment Policy

Effective immediately, the following payment policy MUST be adhered to. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS, ALL FUJI CATERING CLIENTS MUST READ, UNDERSTAND AND ADHERE TO THIS POLICY except by other written arrangements (e.g. VIP-plans) approved by Fuji Catering. Any payment made without regard to this payment policy will be charged a service charge of $25.00. Late charges apply (see below).

Our typical policy is to collect payment several weeks in advance of an event. Fuji Catering provides two unique service types at this time; Catered Events and Hosted Events. Each event presented to our clients is categorized as, at minimum, one of the two event types.

If you are NOT on a VIP-plan* with Fuji Catering and you purchase any products and/or services from us, the payment schedule is as follows for each event type:

Catered Events – Catered Events are paid by installment plans. Typically, unless your quote specifies otherwise, 30% of the event cost is due upon contract signing, a second payment installment of 20% is due upon finalization of your event details (e.g Date and Head Count) and the final payment (and remaining balance) is due 2 weeks prior to the event date.

Hosted Events – Hosted events typically are paid in advance of an event date or at the event venue. All payments made whether online or at the event venue are paid in full (no installments).

Late charges apply (see below) – applies only to Catered Events.

If, for any reason, we send an invoice to you for any products or services, regardless if you are on a VIP-plan or not, payment must be sent within 15 business days of your receipt of the invoice, unless other Fuji Catering approved arrangements have been made ahead of time. Late charges apply (see below).

LATE CHARGES
ALL payments such as invoices, handling fees, service charges and mileage charges described in the above policy MUST BE RECEIVED BY Fuji Catering within 15 business days from the day you received an invoice) or late fees in the amount of $25.00 will be charged for every business day your payment is late. This applies to ALL clients, without exception.

Non-payment may result in your account being sent to collections, your credit standing with us being downgraded and possible litigation to recover payment. If you have questions or concerns, or you feel that you you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us IMMEDIATELY so that we can work together to find a solution.

Current Refund / Cancellation Policy

If you are NOT on a VIP-plan with Fuji Catering, the following is our policy for refunds per event type:

Catering Event Refunds – A full refund, upon written cancellation, less processing fees and non-refundable third party deposits, will be issued no less than 2 weeks out from your event date. Cancellations less than 2weeks prior to an event will result in full forfeit of your deposits.

Host Events – all tickets sales, purchases or reservations for hosted events are final, no refunds are issued. IF you are unable to attend a hosted event a store credit will be issued that can be used toward a future hosted event.

Refund Types

Cash refunds will only be given with a valid receipt showing the original form of payment for purchase as cash.

Credit Card Refunds –
All credit card purchases will be refunded back to the original credit card that your event was purchased on. Your signed contract will serve as proof of purchase for your catered event. – Allow up to 30 business days to process our request.

Check Refunds –
All check purchase will be refunded 14 days after the original check has cleared; check refunds will be done in the form of a mailed check from our primary office. – Allow up to 30 business days to process our request.

Events beyond our control
In the event Fuji Catering is unable to provide catering event services and / or execute according for a catering event as stated per our clients contract, and Fuji Catering is solely at fault a full refund or credit will be issued to the client. This excludes hosted events and other non-catered purchases. In the event of a natural disasters a store credit will be provide if the event is less than 2 weeks out.

If you are dissatisfied with the level of service or quality of an event you have received from us after purchasing, please contact us with your concerns so that we can address this issue immediately. We value you as a client and strive for your satisfaction.

VIP-Plans
VIP plans are customized to meet a clients needs or are arranged in advance when an event requires larger deposit amounts or the payment schedule requires a level of customization to help secure the event venue or related services. VIP plans are available for all event types and are at the discretion of Fuji Catering as to when such a plan is required.
